Harsh Dads

We've all seen men lose their family because of bad judgment or a lack of self control, but I've seen more men lose their family because of harshness. I've seen hugely effective leaders, intelligent people, simply be too harsh at home. At work they can tell, direct, control and sell, but at home their leadership can feel harsh. Men, we need to realise that we all pull away from harsh people. And if your leadership feels harsh to the people around you, the people around you will be pulling away. A man who wants to be a great leader at home will teach himself to lead with warmth and compassion. To have good parenting limits and good boundaries, but to balance this with warmth and compassion and a massive belief in the future of his family.
